Former Davis Staffer Joins Roe Congressional Campaign

JOHNSON CITY, TN - Keith Spicer, who was Co-Chair of the 2006 David Davis Congressional bid, has come on board as a Senior Advisor with Dr. Phil Roe’s Congressional campaign.

Spicer, who had major input in TV, radio, positions and speech writing during Davis’ previous campaign, says he is “very excited” to have gotten to know Roe and his family.

“I’m looking forward to working with Phil Roe as he becomes our next U.S. Congressman,” Spicer said. “He’s an articulate social and fiscal conservative who will be an effective voice for the issues that touch the first district of Tennessee.”

“Naturally, we’re very excited about this," Roe said. “With his past credentials, it’s an honor to have Keith join our team.”

Spicer’s activities in conservative Republican politics span more than 30 years. In addition to hosting a radio talk show and writing for the BristolHerald-Courier, he has worked on most conservative Republican campaigns in the Tri-Cities area. He is also a former Chairman of the Sullivan County Republican Party.

“Phil Roe will work tirelessly to protect our nation, win the war on terror, close our borders, bring a market based solution to our health care crises, help keep our economy strong and protect our jobs,” Spicer stated.

“I know he will take his faith based values to Washington to help secure a bright future for my grandchildren and yours.”

Roe is seeking the Republican nomination for the First Congressional District House seat. The Republican primary will be held on August 7.
